A Bit About Me

Horses have been a huge part of my life from a young age. I’ve always worked around them, whether that’s been riding, teaching or the everyday physical work that comes with yard life. For years, I never really thought about what that physicality was doing to my body, I simply got on with it.

As I got older though, I started to feel the effects. After having knee and shoulder surgery, I was surprised by how much strength and flexibility I had lost, despite completing my physiotherapy. I wanted to get my fitness back, so I started running, but unfortunately found myself struggling with shin splints. I tried a few different things, but nothing really felt like it was for me.

Then I found yoga.

Having ridden all my life, I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between horse and rider, and particularly by how our own bodies can influence the way a horse moves and responds. The more I practised yoga, the more I began to understand my own body, my balance, strength, flexibility and movement, and how all of these things could translate into the saddle.

But over time, I realised that feeling good in our bodies is only part of the picture. Our mindset, thoughts, beliefs and emotions can have just as much influence on how we feel, perform and respond, both in the saddle and in everyday life.

This led me to explore mindset work, NLP and Timeline Work, which opened up a whole new understanding of how our past experiences can shape the way we think, feel and behave in the present. Learning how to recognise and change unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs has become an important part of my own journey, and something I’m passionate about helping others with too.

For me, it’s about bringing the physical and mental sides together. Yoga helps us develop awareness, strength, balance and connection within the body, while mindset and NLP work can help us create positive change from the inside out.

My aim is to help people feel more confident, balanced and connected, not just in their bodies, but in their minds too, so they can feel more empowered in themselves and, for riders to develop an even stronger connection with their horses.
